How to Find Your Identity and Your True Self

Finding your true identity or true self may be difficult. But it is very important. Every day we wonder why we live, why we are not happy, why we are not feeling safe bet and that can work on our lives greatly.

People belongs to some societies with strong tradition specially find it difficult to seek their true identity because since they are born, they are thinkable, to result a safe bet pattern throughout their life. It may be their house tradition, or tradition of society. Getting sandwiched in the middle of external expectations and traditions may impact someone's life and stop them to get the best out of their talents or make them very unhappy. That can work on your house life, your public life and your own life. So it is very leading for every person to know their true identity.

Finding your true identity can bring the best out of you and it is the best gift you can give to yourself, your family, your friends, and the world.

These few steps you may take to find yourself will growth your self-esteem, self-confidence and self-respect. This could be an leading step you may take to perform a great life and find success and happiness.

1. Don't hide your true emotions: Don't hide your true emotions from you. You may not like to show it to others but at least don't hide it from yourself. When you are true to yourself, you are free to express whatever to you, your belief and self esteem moderately increases. You should not be ashamed to cry, or feel upset or get angry. Some citizen try to get help from others to get out of sadness or distress or they drink or go out for shopping or something. Doing those things not only make you ignore your senses but also will take you away from yourself. Know your emotions and face it. Let it out and then you will feel more belief about dealing your issues and problems. Your mental strength, self respect and self esteem will get a great boost.

2. Do Meditation: Doing Meditation commonly helps to build mental strength and stay focused. Even if you know who you are and what you like, chances are that you may get distracted by your external environment or your surroundings. It may also be that you have a friend or house member who has very strong personality and that can mould your behavior and make you result him/her knowingly or unknowingly and you may verily suffer from identity crisis. Staying focus and increasing mental strength is a great way to stay away from those external influences. I am not against learning from others, but learn and adapt which is good and positive. Don't let man take over your senses of your identity.

3. Try separate activities: You need to try to engage yourself into separate activities in order to find out what fits you or what verily makes you happy. You may have some private talents in music or sports which you don't know about. So go out, engage yourself into separate things. Trying out separate stuff will help you to choose the type of activities you like and also it will show you where your talent(s) is(are).

4. Know your dreams and likings: Dreaming is not a waste of time. Dream is verily the first step towards execution. Know what you want to do. Dream and visualize. Visualizing things will make you sub merge into your dreams and verily help to make it happen. You need to know what you like to do. You may like to be a Painter. Any way you may not know how to begin. So dreaming and visualizing will help you to find the right direction. In order to know what you like or what you may like, result the step 3.

5. Spend Time with Yourself: Giving time to yourself is very important. Every day, try to spend some time with yourself alone. It could be at the end of the day or in the morning or any time you choose. Sit and talk to yourself. Try to analyze how your day was or previous day and what made you happy or suffer. Every day as you do this again and again, you will be able to find a pattern of acts or deeds or external influences that make you react in safe bet way. Soon you will exactly know what you want or what not and you will be able to apply those to your life.

6. Keep a notebook: Keep a notebook and note down your thoughts, your experiences and activities regularly. Also write down the favorite quotations, name of the book you read and liked, movie you enjoyed, things you did etc. Also note down something that you didn't like or enjoyed or something that bothered you. Revisit them after some time. You will get a great idea about your behavior and mental states. That could be an leading step to know you better.
