How Excess Stress Can Cause Memory Loss - And What To Do About It

If you find yourself becoming more and more forgetful lately, the first query to ask is either you are undergoing a lot of stress. You can be the one to set an example by earmarking the time for fun instead of falling into the habit of using time with friends for complaining about your worries. A big part of relieving your stress is to learn to put matters into perspective rather than feeling that you are a helpless victim.

Each day, take time for prayer or meditation so that you can quiet your thoughts and get in touch with the dreams and goals that you have for yourself. If you do not pay attentiveness to what is most foremost to you, you risk letting the stress turn into depression, which in turn causes added memory problems.

To stimulate your memory skills, don't let your mind get lazy by allowing it a steady diet of passive television watching. Give yourself intriguing brain-exercises such as doing crossword puzzles, reading, and interacting with other people. Growth your attentiveness level by noticing the trees and flowers when you are taking a walk, rather than naturally shuffling down the street.
