Why Write Do It Yourself Books?

There are a lot of separate types of Do It Yourself jobs, carpenter, plumbing, car repair, and pouring concrete. All these jobs take a positive type of skill.

As a mechanic since I was old enough to hold a wrench and turn the nut on a bolt I have had a very thoughprovoking career from hobby of restoring older cars to working on industrialized fighter aircraft. But one of the easiest Do It Yourself repair tasks is the computer repair.

Why do it yourself? Maybe the closest technician is miles away and it would cost more than the computers worth to have someone come to fix it. Or maybe the owner wants to learn how to make the repairs their self to save money or just for fun.

A Do It Yourselfer are not always fully trained in the field that they want to do the task. That is why separate experts write manuals and books that construe the how and why of separate trades.

To write a Do It Yourself book or manual takes a positive type of person. The someone must be an master in the field and have ample experience with hands on doing the tasks it takes to faultless the job. Some manuals are so technical that an average someone would not be able or even inclined to buy or try to use one.

What the do it yourself someone is looking for when they buy a technical manual or book is how easy it is to follow the directions. If the author has written the book or manual with the technical jargon instead of using words that the average high school student would understand they are wasting the customer's and their own time.

It is harder to write a Do It Yourself book than a technical manual. The author must know how to do the task, then take the technical explanation and turn it in to the explanation that the reader understands with out the technical terminology. With out the technical training and the experience that comes with time the author would have a hard time writing an master Do It Yourself manual or book.

With over forty years of experience as a mechanic, electrician, and over twenty as a technician in the computer manufactures I feel I have the indispensable qualifications to write Do It Yourself books.

I have written five books so far and plan on writing more. My first attempt was a normal all around computer repair book for the novice, intermediate, and professional. The main idea behind the book was that if someone wanted to repair, upgrade, or build a computer then it need to be written in every day language and not be so technical that the normal user could not read it.

When it was completed my first book had over three hundred and fifty pages of text and graphics specifically for the time to come Diy Computer repair person.
